Marc Andreessen is considered a legend in Silicon Valley because he is said to be one of the founding fathers of the modern internet. He has a few great things for leaders to remember:
On excellence: “Be so good they can’t ignore you.”
On self-confidence:
“Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you.”
On innovation:
“To do original work: It’s not necessary to know something nobody else knows. It is necessary to believe something few other people believe.”
Each of these are excellent ways for us to remember that while we search for that which will
give us an edge over our competition, we already have exactly what we need inside to be successful. All we have to do is focus on the gifts inside us, give our best effort, and believe in the possibilities within our reach.
Lead well.
